Shumei Santa Cruz Farm follows Japanese philosophy of 'natural agriculture'

BONNY DOON -- Hidden amid the redwood forest, the Shumei Santa Cruz Farm practices a healthy secret: natural agriculture, a concept that has already seduced a few residents and school food services in the county.

"We try to connect people to nature, and farming is a very good way to understand natural agriculture and connect to the land," said Masahide Koyama, the farm's development coordinator.
